MEET THE PASTORS
Carl Sheppard
Lead Pastor
Elder Carl Earl Sheppard III, a native of New Orleans, LA, accepted the call of God on his life in 2008. He was licensed on September 11, 2012, and ordained on November 15, 2015, under the pastorate of Bishop Paul S. Morton at Changing A Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned an Associate's degree in Religious Studies from Beulah Heights University in May 2015 and a Bachelor's Degree in May 2020, with a concentration in Leadership Studies. Elder Sheppard continues to allow God to perfect and order his steps in the way he should go. As a result of hearing God's voice and the cries of his community, My Redeemer Lives Ministries was birthed in 2021.
LIVING.BUILDING.CONNECTING.
Juanita Sheppard
Co-Pastor
Elder Juanita Sheppard’s greatest gift is her ability to inspire collaboration and identify resources across theological, nonprofit, and corporate sectors for the common good. Her reliance on the leading of the Holy Spirit guides her footsteps. The South African concept of Ubuntu– “I am because you are” fuels her journey.
Elder Sheppard’s love for community grew from her previous work at The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and The Temple, Atlanta’s oldest synagogue. A recognized leader in the theological and nonprofit sectors, she earned her B.A. from Beulah Heights University and M.Div. from the Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center. She is also a member
of Leadership DeKalb’s Class of 2022 and serves as the Dean of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International’s LeaderSHIFT Institute.
Elder Sheppard enjoys life and travel with her family – Carl, her beloved husband, and her two adult daughters Sasha and Brittany.
